Due to the horrific events that happened in Newtown, CT on December 14, I say we change the way background checks work by adding residents of the gun buyer's house to the list of people needing to be checked. That way, if a criminal, psychopath, or someone with a possibly dangerous mental disorder is in the household and does the same thing the Connecticut shooter did (that is, steal his mother's guns and uses them to kill), we might prevent a psychopath from getting a gun.
And I doubt many people have criminals, psychopaths, or people with dangerous mental disorders in their household so it doesn't crush people's second amendment rights.
