Make Banks be more thorough in their information requests and more efficient in the processing of mortgage modifications

Created by M.G. on October 09, 2011

Banks have made it virtually impossible for the average working American to spend the hours required to deal with their inefficient systems for processing mortgage modification applications.

By law, the application should be a single page, with a single point of contact for homeowners in distress!

For example, it should not take 16 months, multiple applications, reams of faxed and mailed supporting documentation and hundreds of telephone hours, some of which are spent proving to the bank that they already have documents in their possession which they claim to not have received!

By law, banks should be required to process a request for a mortgage modification within 30 days with a 30 day appeal process. Foreclosure proceedings should automatically freeze during these periods!

Thank You!
