The taxing of some individuals more than others, based on income is against the basic concept of treating all citizens as equals. With loopholes, write-offs, and exemptions, in the tax code, we are promoting unfairness and allowing some to contribute nothing, while others have to bear the load. Mr. President, do as you promised, equalize and simplify the tax code and propose a simple flat tax that treats ALL Americans as equals.
