Many young women are embarrassed to talk to their family or doctor about birth control, and some women cant get to the doctor. Health insurance and doctors visits aren't readily available to some people. Many other countries sell the pill Otc. Two thirds of women on the pill say they would prefer it over the counter and 30% of women not on birth control say they would consider going using the pill if it were available over the counter. And I realize that religious opposition may come, but the US has no official religion and women should be able to make this decision without someone telling them it's wrong due to religion.
