Trawling nets used in commercial fishing are used to ensnare bottom dwelling fish and marine life who reside at the bottom of the ocean, these nets scoop up millions of pounds of sea-life and it also causes increased amount of By-catch meaning trawling up other fish and aqua life then what was intended, and it also damages the underwater landscape, destroying habitats for fish to live, feed, and procreate.
