Aside from the obvious financial benefits of breastfeeding for mothers, there is a much more important aspect of this issue; discrimination.
It is by all definitions discriminatory to disallow a woman to feed her child naturally in public, it is no less discriminatory than race, sex, or religious related issues. Women are being discriminated against because if their beliefs and choices in responsibly caring for their children.
Without protection in many cases women are deterred from breastfeeding in public. This should be a protected right in ALL public places and businesses, to deny this right and act of legislation is to protect the continued discrimation against nursing mothers.
