Regardless of the field of work, the generally accepted full time work week is 40 hours. These hours begin at the physical presence & "clocking-in" at the brick & mortar structure not time in transit to & from it. These politicians are called "public servants" & I submit the comparison that they are "employees" of the public. The "average" employees compensation package is primarily dependant on hours worked, performance, & years of service (tenure). Congress works 38 weeks a year at 3-4 days a week while we pay for their travel expenses & generous life-time benefits. I submit that their poor work performace & part time hours at full time benefits should be reformed to be more comparable to the average american working the same. These should be the 1st gov. spending cuts addressed.
