Two many times with our justice system a great injustice is done too our children! California is a statue of limitation state which really means that if we can keep the victim quite long enough we don't have to worry about being prosecuted because two much time has occurred since the start of the act to the ending of the incident .When you Add Reasonable doubt into play in our court rooms now you have created double jeopardy! when assaults happen to minors weather there Male Or Female, Boys or Girls. many times the victims keep quite. sometimes out of guilt and shame, fear of what may happen to the family unit, they don't want to be responsible for any one they love going to jail or just simple manipulation on the perpetrators behalf. our laws are suppose to help victims no punish them.
