We need to make elections more transparent. The American voters have no idea how much money certain wealthy individuals fund certain non-profit organizations, such as Americans for Prosperity. The Koch brothers for example have helped create a vast network of non-profits that are systematically convoluting important issues, and making them about things that are not really relevant to the situation. The main issue with this is not that these organizations exist, but rather that they present the information through an ideological lense with no fact to back up their arguments. Therefore, we need to ensure that the public knows who is giving to these organizations, and what industry they are involved in, so we can take that into consideration when deciding about elections and issues.
