Elephants are majestic, intelligent creatures who roam dozens of miles per day. It is inhumane and cruel to place these animals in captivity in a circus or fair, where they are mistreated (often whipped and lascerated with bull hooks and kept in chains) and crammed into tiny cages, only being let out to perform for peoples' entertainment. The practice of using elephants in this manner needs to be halted immediately and made illegal.
