Make care for mental illness more accessible to all Americans, not just women, children, and the elderly.

Health care for the mentally ill who are newly diagnosed is very limited unless you are a woman, child, or elderly. Making Mental health care as widely available as Physical Health care could help stop tragedies such as the Sandy Hook Massacre.
Many men ages 21 to 50 are left without options in seeking mental health care because many of us view them as "capable" simply because of their age and sex. Many can't see that a young to middle aged man can be as equally affected by mental illness as anyone else, thus, there is no "safety net" for them as there is for women, children, and the aged. It is harder for them to even get disability because of our perceived notions of "what a man should be capable of" in our society. They need aid as well, and should have equal Medicaid coverage and care
