I am a licensed health insurance agent in Las Vegas, Nevada. I read an article that each insurance company is given an extra $59.00 for individual sign-ups to the ACA. Licensed health insurance agents are not being compensated properly in the form of commissions.
I would like to petition the government to make it mandatory that insurance carriers compensate licensed health agents in the amount of $50.00 per sign-up for individuals, and full commission for small businesses and large corporations in the amount of 20 percent, or whatever amount is fair, reasonable, and equitable.
As a licensed health insurance agent, I am required to have Errors and Omissions Insurance, business insurance, and hard work should be properly compensated.
