We, the signers of the petition, would like the government to consider a change to the term limits of the presidency in an attempt to quell overly partisan politics and to increase efficiency of government by eliminating the need of campaigning for a second term.
We would like to see a one term of six years to be the presidential term limit.
This is a median ground between 2 terms of 8 years, and 1 term of 4 years.
With 1 term of 6 years, more would be able to be done because of the elimination of the need to spend the third year of a term campaigning for reelection.
