Make changes to the Food Stamp program to make it more fundamentally fair for all Americans.

Created by R.F. on January 10, 2013

We, the self reliant taxpayers, who somehow manage to pay our own way, do hereby demand fundamental changes to the current make up the food stamp program. Quite frankly, it is unfair to taxpayers who make sacrifices in their food purchasing decisions, while those on the food stamp program do not. We would like to see a two tier system. Tier One is for senior citizens and the blind, and Tier Two for the able bodied. In Tier One the SNAP program could continue it its current form. In Tier Two, purchases would be limited to those items that are determined to more basic food items. i.e. Chips and snacks are not necessary to human nutrition. Neither are cookies, soda, sports drinks, luxury foods such as pre-prepared dinners, baked goods and meat proteins greater than $4.99/ lb.
