Make changes to Title 18, Section 926b & 926c; the carrying of firearms by current and retired law enforcement.

Created by K.K. on January 14, 2013

Make changes to Title 18, Section 926b & 926c to include all qualified Federal Police Officers (GS-0083), Criminal Investigators (GS-1811), and military law enforcement personnel; to include changes to Department of Defense Instruction 5525.12 to reflect the including of Department of Defense Police Officers (GS-0083), unit-level Criminal Investigators (GS-1811), Active Duty, reserve, and retired Military Police (to include U.S. Navy Master-at-Arms and U.S. Air Force Security Forces personnel). They arrest, detain, and investigate personnel that are just as likely to harm to them off-duty as their civilian counterpart (those currently covered). This gives them the ability to protect themselves and their family off-duty which is the right thing to do.
