Make changes in the way Social Security (Disability) benefits are being done.

Created by T.R. on March 07, 2016

Disability benefits need to change. To start, if you are deemed eligible for benefits, the government should not be able to decide after months and even years that you were not eligible and require you to pay it all back. They took their time making a decision on your eligibility, they should not punish you for their decision. (If they find fraudulence in your claim, you should be required to pay back any time frame you were found guilty) But if the government suddenly decides your no longer eligible, your payments should stop, you can appeal and win the payments to be reimbursed and restart. But you should not have to pay back money, when the government is the one who decided you were indeed eligible. Filing for benefits should not cost you everything you've worked for your entire life.
