I believe that if chest mounted cameras were a mandatory addition to a police officer's uniform, it would help everyone involved in any sort of police work. Adding these cameras would provide concrete evidence of how the interaction between an officer and a suspect occurred. It would help anyone who has ever been subjected to police brutality to have video evidence of exactly how the situation played out.
In making these mandatory to an officer's uniform we would hopefully dissuade many officers from abusing their power, since they would not be able to legally get away with the misuse. Anyways, of the various (and many times absurd) places our tax dollars go too, isn't this a much more sound outlet? An outlet that could potentially help any citizen who will hopefully read this. Thank you.
