Create a 51st State with approximate borders of Interstate 80 to the South, Interstate 355 to the West, and the current Illinois Wisconsin border to the North.
Downstate Illinoisans and the citizens of Chicago do not share the same values. The voting block in Chicago forces their values on the people of downstate Illinois thereby robbing them of way of life and freedom.
The leaders of Chicago have made it clear they are against second amendment rights of downstate voters. These leaders include Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Chief of Police Garry McCarthy, State Senator Donnie Trotter, and others.
Chicago's corrupt leadership has continuously imposed their will on Downstate Illinoisans causing inflated rates of taxation and a very unfriendly environment for industry and business.
