While it might not be possible to force parents to vaccinate their children, the rest of us certainly shouldn't be subsidizing that choice. By extending the child tax credit to those parents who make irresponsible choices, the rest of us are effectively paying more -- after all, taxes are meant to raise a certain amount of revenue for the government, and if one person is getting a tax credit, that's money that has to be found elsewhere. Let's stop giving a free ride to these reckless parents putting the rest of us in danger.
