Illinois is failing financially, one reason is that we have idiots and corrupt polititions running it, second most of the federal funding goes into the money sucking parasite known as chicago. If chicago becomes its own state then they will get their own federal funding while Illinois will as well. This I think can help Illinois in a substantial way. Chicago is holding Illinois back, both the city and state aren't getting any better at this rate nor do I see it getting any better in the future unless something is done.
