There has been a growing trend on the web in recent years and it has been plaguing the soul intention on why the internet was created. Click-baiting is the act where companies, blogs, etc. use false information to try and get users to click links to their website when shared on social media. They use these inaccurate titles to play on peoples emotions to get them to click a link and generate revenue for their company. This was a method used by scammers early on but has grown to be used by every major news outlet to drive traffic to their sites. This is causing a massive spread of inaccurate information on the internet. Click baiting is the "bait and switch" of the digital world and needs to be banned.
