While Americans have been concerned more about issues regarding the Russian government and the military, students, who represent the future and prosperity of this country, have been left behind.
During the last years, public college has become a privilege for those with the resources to afford it and not a right as it should be. This is due to the ridiculously high costs that tuitions and books have, which keep increasing each year; while financial aid has been reduced and becoming more limiting.
As a result, many students have been forced to abandon their dream to achieve an education in order to dedicate their time to work and survive.
Everyone deserves the right to attend a college and a four-year university disregarding their economic status; therefore, it must be completely free.
