What is the point of making college more affordable if students are coming out with nothing in hand? The average college graduation rate for Bachelor’s degree-seeking students at 4-year public colleges in the United States is 31.3% in four years and 56.0% in six years.(according to Graduation data from the National Center for Education Statistics’ Integrated Postsecondary Education System) This means that 44% of student are not coming out of college with a 4-year degree after six years! Its great that we are trying to make college more affordable, but lets make it more effective.
