The large increase in loans to students along with scholarships of all kinds has toally redirected the problem of bloated tuition away from the source of the problem: The colleges.
We are causing an unnecessary further stratification of rich and poor by preventing some from attending schools due to affordability. Many studies have shown that schools are watching from the sidelines as others strive to get money for the students to go to their bloated- tuition schools. Meanwhile the schools do little to reduce their tuition. Why should they be exempt from this problem?
