Make colleges/universities implement the equivalent of Workers' Comp for Student Athletes who are injured while playing

We the people petition the Obama Administration to pass legislation requiring colleges and universities to provide the equivalent of Worker's Compensation for athletes who are injured while playing their sport. If an athlete is injured while playing and is unable to return to the sport, the athlete could potentially lose his/her scholarship and ultimately not be able to return to the college/university he/she was attending. The gross unwillingness of universities to care for their athletes is unacceptable. These student athletes contribute so much to places of higher education. It's time they are treated as the valuable members that they are.
