make common sense spending cuts and tax increases in order to balance a budget to allow us to begin to pay off the debt.

Created by B.P. on January 19, 2013

By 2022, it is estimated in that our national debt will sit at $25 trillion. This sad fact cannot be blamed on one president, nor one party, but rather a climate that promotes political gain over executing the business of Americans. It is unfair to levy the burden of that debt on my generation, who is not yet eligible to even vote. Thus, I would propose that the Obama administration push to eliminate pork-barrel spending, lobbyists' initiatives, and other frivolous spending, as well as closing tax loopholes. Those in office are supposedly there to carry out our business, and it is high time our CEO lead them in doing so. Think of current high-schoolers, like myself, who will be weighed down by the burden of this debt, then let's start to pay it down, by first at least balancing the budget.
