Make the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (unincorporated territory) since the Treaty of Paris of 1898 the 51st State of USA.

Created by J.C. on November 27, 2013

Start a process to admit Puerto Rico as the 51st State

On a referandum that took place on November 6 2012 a vast majority vote of 65.1% of voters chose to adopt Statehood as the option for the political status of the Island. Puerto Rico's 4 million US Citizens have finally conformed a majority as requested many times by the US Congress to push for a final status request.

We request that Congress respect the will of the majority and propose directly to the Puerto Rican people the process for inclusion of Puerto Rico as a State of the Union.
