Make a comprehensive financial/economic/entrepreneurial education curriculum mandatory in public schools.

Created by L.G. on December 04, 2011

Students educated in financial, economic, and entrepreneurial principles can be more self-sufficient as adults and create more jobs of their own by being successful in business. This would stabilize and strengthen the economy long term, as well as reduce government spending on welfare programs. Many times, people who are poor came from poorer families. Parents can't teach their children what they don't know themselves. Studies have shown that educating students before they leave (or drop out of) high school works to improve financial decision-making long term, and that the students who made the most improvements from those programs came from poorer families. Finances, business, and the economy affect everyone; everyone should be educated on them properly, not just those with rich parents.
