We are living in an age where Computers are an everyday part of life. It is vital that our children have an early start and exposure to computer technology and skills so that they can apply for and contribute heavily in tech related fields which will dominate the future job markets.
It is especially vital for minority students and students of color in general to have access to this knowledge early on and definitely at the high school level to ensure their competitive success and access to high skilled jobs.
That is why I feel strongly that funding should be given to public schools nationwide to promote more computer science courses/subjects at the high school level.
