Social Security is broken and, at some point will become insolvent. Some have even called it a Ponzi scheme.
There is no incentive to fix Social Security or other government programs when members of Congress have their own cushy retirement plans, paid for by taxpayers.
Perhaps the only way to fix it is to force Congress and other government employees to rely on Social Security as many Americans do and to do away with their other taxpayer-funded retirement plans.
