The United States Senate is currently in a state of war, in which the different sides of every problem are locked at an impasse at every vote. Nothing is getting passed, revised, or even discussed, and it's holding our country back.
The biggest problem is that nobody is voting for the good of the people they represent, or the welfare of the people who voted them into this position. Personal agendas should have no place in discussions that affect more than 313 million people, who lose every time there is failure to reach a solution. People should stop arguing over their differences, and instead focus on their similarities to fix the mess we are in. Start with what you would like to see, and move on to what you could accept to have. Compromise isn't difficult, as long as you commit to it.
