Make a constitution amendment for a 1 term limit for President. The term would be for 6 years.

Created by D.W. on November 15, 2012

I propose the following change to the term of the President. a One term limit of six years. My primary reasons are for the economics of it and the overall effectiveness of the President. It has often been said the the first year of a new Presidency is a learning process and that the forth year is concentrating on re-election. This effectively means we have a viable Public Official for two years in the most crucial position in the Federal Government. A six year term would have this official concentrating on Public issues for at least four + years. Additionally the $1.6 Billion in campaign contributions could be funneled to more worthy causes. Considering, half of that was a total waste since both candidates didn't win.
