Make "Convenience" Fees, for using a debit or credit card, illegal. Why be charged extra for a company's convenience?

Created by J.T. on December 23, 2014

Customers being charged an extra "convenience" fee, for using a tender other than cash, should be illegal! Especially so for services that the government requires that we purchase.

I stopped by the Tag Agency today and was charged an extra 2.5%, for using my debit card, and had it called a "convenience fee" right to my face! Is this convenience not to the benefit of everyone involved, the business included since they do not have to handle cash and have the transaction processed instantly with the bank?

Why are the people being charged for the convenience of not carrying cash?

Help stop the madness and have your voice heard!
