The difference between downstate Illinois and Chicago politics is very far apart. Chicago politics do not allow the issues important to downstate citizens to be heard; including firearm restrictions, lower taxes, a balanced budget, respect for life, and an end to corruption within the government. Downstate Illinois deserves to be free of the Chicago influence and be able to have its own, free state.
