The costs associated with registering original material for copyright is an unreasonable financial burden on an upstart business. For example, to register a photograph for copyright, the current fee is $85 per registration form (according to the US Copyright Office @ www.copyright.gov). To register 10 photographs (one per month for 10 months) would cost $850. Copyright fees are a deterrent to small-business and job creation. On behalf of all creative individuals, please make copyright registration free. The right to protect one's original work should not have to be bought.
