If we refuse to award large, savings-oriented tax breaks to corporations until they have invested money specifically into our public schools/universities, we can create an incentive-based system that will help fund the same institutions that produce millions of those in the corporate work force. Corporations would be investing in their own futures, and hopefully, it would provide for a system of better education. Corporations, who reap huge monetary benefits from each member of their workforce and the technology and infrastructure created by graduates, should be forced to take on a large part of the responsibility in providing a quality education to their eventual workforce. Plus, corporations can still choose whether or not to invest and receive a tax break, preserving the free markets.
