There are many publicly held corporations who don't pay their employees enough to live on while simultaneously posting record profits. This creates a burden on the taxpayer to pick up that slack in the form of public assistance (welfare, food stamps, medicaid).
We propose that any publicly held corporate entity who's employees require public assistance to make ends meet shall pay a tax equal to amount of public assistance dollars that their employees consume. Since not all employees are full time, this should be based on a proportion of the public assistance dollars consumed vs the proportion of a 40 hour week that these employees work a a given company.
