Make coverage for erectile dysfunction medications and devices covered by insurance as for any other disease.

Created by J.S. on July 25, 2015

At this time most health insurance policies do not provide coverage for medications (e.g. Viagra, Cialis) or medical devices needed for men with erectile dysfunction (ED).

ED is a disease that effects many men, sometimes for known reasons, others not. My ED is a result of being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and subsequently having my Prostate surgically removed. Prostate cancer is the most common (non-skin) cancer in men. More than 200,000 new cases of Prostate Cancer are diagnosed in the United States every year; 30,000 will die. Most Prostate cancer treatments result in ED.

Under the ACA birth control is not just available for women, it is free. ED should be treated as any other illness with medications covered in the same manner as other illnesses. Viagra is not a recreational drug
