make critical foreign language learning a federal priority within our public education system from preschool-12 grades.

Former President George W. Bush initiated a Critical Foreign Language Initiative to encourage and fund early foreign language programs in our public education system. Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bengali, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian-Farsi, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish, Urdu are thirteen of the ones crucial to ensure global competitiveness and our national security in the global community. Language learning (not just the above mentioned) can build communication bridges leading to global peace and security while providing for international business and trade partnerships and career opportunities for our new global economic order in the pursuit of a "global transformation initiative."
