make CSPAN a public television station so ALL American people can follow the thruth of what goes on in the House/Senate

There are many Americans who either cannot afford (especially in today's economy) or choose not to pay into the conglomerate that is their local cable company. I have found that this is a higher percentage than most people think and in an ever growing crisis we are already in fear of losing public television. This would be a great injustice to those who cannot or will not pay for cable. This is not my issue, however, even though I think it is an important one to address as well. This petition is to request that the government mandate that the channel C-SPAN become a public television station. I have so many friends (as I'm sure many of us do) that are uneducated on what is going on in their House or Senate meetings and it's truly frightening. Please make CSPAN a public station for ALL.
