Most Senators and Congressmen are already millionaires. Why are they making $300,000 a year, plus many perks and paid expenses, while the average American makes less than $100K?
This is supposed to be a "Public Service" position, not a lucrative career choice.
If every Govt job making over $200K a year was cut by 1/3, the budget would balance without taking money from the American People. Not only will this reduce the debt, but could save thousands of jobs from govt reductions.
It seems so easy for them to cut money from our teachers, policemen, and social programs, but they never consider taking money from themselves.
Let's make them feel the pain of this economy along with us!
