Make Cyberbullying a federal offense.

Created by M.B. on April 29, 2013

Cyberbullying, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, is defined as 'the electronic posting of mean-spirited messages about a person (as a student) often done anonymously'. Cyberbullying can lead to a dread of coming to school, a drop in grades, a feeling of helplessness, depression, and even suicide. According to bullyingstatistics.org, over half of adolescents and teens have been bullied online, and about the same number have engaged in cyberbullying. With the increase of availability to technology, cyberbullying can become more of a common threat in days to pass. With the help of fundraising and support, cyberbullying can be deterred by making it a federal offense.
