Make the day after the Super Bowl a federal holiday!

Created by M.S. on January 27, 2015

Columbus Day is a useless holiday that 17 states don't even recognize and glorifies a horrific part of American history. The day after the Super Bowl, the most watched sporting event in the world, is most certainly a day that Americans rather have off.

This is a petition for the white house to abolish Columbus Day (as was done with Victory Day in 1975) and create a presidential proclamation to have the day after the Super Bowl named "American Heritage Day".

Because after all, nothing is more American than a good old hangover after Super Bowl Sunday.
