The American people are burden with the plethora of social issues that are continually used to divide and exploit us. They somehow manage to forget about these issues during large sporting events. Even if temporarily, these events bring people together, regardless of their background. It would benefit everyone in this country to be able to have this time, without the worry of a stressful work day in the back of their minds while they are spending time with their family and friends. The players come from so many rich cultural backgrounds, and no one seems to notice or care, they just want to root for their favorite team and enjoy life, if only for a moment. So a day of recovery is well deserved considering that we contribute to the greatness of this country.
