Make daylight saving time (DST) the permanent year-round standard.

Created by T.P. on November 06, 2012

There are advantages to an extra hour of daylight in the evening. However, there are serious concerns regarding the changing of clocks.

There are many disadvantages to the biannual process of changing clocks. Turning them forward increases the risk of heart attacks, and turning them back, especially as the days are already getting shorter, makes people more prone to depression.

The changing of clocks, whether forward or back, is a source of disturbance to people's natural circadian rhythms.

No matter the time of year, an extra hour of daylight in the evening is always more useful than an extra in the morning. It is a benefit to businesses, and energy is more likely to be saved with sunlight in the evening than in the morning.

Year-round daylight savings makes the best use of sunlight.
