DC has wanted to become a state to help it gain the full rights of a normal city. But I think it maybe better if the district joins it's norther neighbor, Maryland. DC and Maryland have always been together in almost every situation and it would help the city gain the rights as a normal city would. We would have to have some special laws put in place to make sure the the Capital of the nation stays the Capital the nation.
