The residents of the District of Columbia are forced to pay federal "income taxes", fight in foreign wars, but have no full say on how their own money can be spent, or their laws allowed to be implemented, because Congress can intervene in the governmental affairs of DC. It is time to end the hypocrisy of the American myth of Democracy, and grant the 600,000+ residents of DC full statehood, with 2 Senators and representatives to Congress.
