Make The Department of Education and the Teachers Union, allow more Charter Schools to open, without fights over funding

Created by J.B. on December 24, 2011

For many years the Teachers union has stopped charter schools from forming because of potential lost of funding to poor performing schools. Many states leaders are paid by these Teachers Unions, and make it harder for charter schools to open. In New Jersey in 2007, only 1 out of the 22 proposed charter schools were opened. In many states the same is happening every year. These unions and some department heads are trying to keep their high salaries, versus create great opportunities for students, which is what this should be about.

It would be amazing if we had the opportunity to send kids to schools were we know they will succeed instead of fail or drop out.
