The Department of Veteran Affairs how proven itself incapable of providing a decent and reasonable level of medical care for our veterans. Veterans should be given the same style of coverage as medicare, where a patient can take their insurance card to any doctor to receive treatment. No one is forced to go to a "medicare hospital" for everything that ails them, so why are our veterans restricted to medical centers that have literally been hiding the fact that they are killing them through neglect and bureaucratic red tape? The VA should be used to solely to process paperwork and payments to private doctors. All medical procedures should be provided at the place and by the doctor chosen by the veteran. The majority of problems the VA has are much better managed in a private care system.
