Diplomats work hard to protect peace and relations between countries, and are, in many ways, the first line of defense and dialogue in a conflict (or preventing one). Some even give their lives for it. There are, however, no days or instances of nationwide recognition for them or their service. I petition for there to be one recognised day a year dedicated to celebrating diplomats and ambassadors and thanking them for what their part in keeping not only this country, but other countries, safe.
